Personal use

Every purchase includes a personal-use license.

When you buy a guide, workbook, journal, or tool from The Adulting Vault, you receive a single-seat, perpetual, non-transferable personal-use license. You may download the file, print it for yourself or your immediate household, save it to your personal devices, and use it as many times as you like. You do not need to ask permission for personal printing, annotation, or backup copies.

  • Download and keep forever.
  • Print one or more copies for your own use.
  • Fill, annotate, and re-use the worksheets.
  • Share the purchase link, not the file itself.
What you may not do

Personal use does not mean public distribution.

To protect the work and keep prices fair for individual buyers, the following are not allowed under a personal-use license:

  • Resell, sublicense, or redistribute the original files.
  • Upload files to public websites, file-sharing platforms, or shared drives.
  • Include files in paid or free membership libraries, courses, or bundles without a written agreement.
  • Remove watermarks, copyright notices, or branding.
  • Use content as the basis for a competing product or service.
  • Share login credentials or download links with others.
Commercial & organizational use

Commercial use requires a written license.

If you want to use The Adulting Vault materials inside an organization, program, course, or business, you need a commercial-use or bulk-print license. This covers employee onboarding kits, classroom handouts, nonprofit workshops, coaching client resources, EAP benefits, veteran transition programs, and any situation where the material is distributed to people beyond a single household.

  • Distribution to employees, students, clients, or members.
  • Printed editions for programs and events.
  • White-label or co-branded inserts.
  • Ongoing curriculum or subscription-based access.
  • Derivative training, coaching, or facilitation materials.
Bulk print orders

Print editions are licensed per copy shipped.

When you order paperback, coil-bound, hardcover, or gift-boxed editions through our bulk program, each physical copy is licensed to the recipient for personal use. You may not scan, duplicate, or reprint those editions. If you need extra copies beyond your original order, contact us for a reorder license rather than making photocopies.

  • Each printed copy is licensed to one end user.
  • Photocopying or scanning printed editions is not permitted.
  • Custom-branded inserts require written approval.
  • Reorders and additional copies must be licensed separately.

The Adulting Vault Digital Product License

1. Definitions

“Product” means any digital download, workbook, guide, journal, spreadsheet, video, audio, or printable file purchased from The Adulting Vault. “Buyer” means the individual or organization that completed the purchase. “Personal use” means use by the Buyer and members of their immediate household only. “Commercial use” means any use beyond personal use, including but not limited to distribution to employees, students, clients, members, or event attendees.

2. Personal-Use License

Upon purchase, The Adulting Vault grants the Buyer a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, perpetual license to download, view, print, and use the Product for personal, non-commercial purposes. The Buyer may make reasonable backup copies and may print copies for personal use. The Buyer may not share the Product with third parties, publicly display or distribute the Product, or use the Product for any commercial purpose without obtaining a separate commercial license.

3. Commercial-Use License

Any use of a Product in a business, educational, nonprofit, coaching, counseling, religious, government, or organizational setting requires a commercial-use license. Commercial licenses are granted in writing by The Adulting Vault and may include per-copy, per-user, annual, or unlimited-usage terms depending on the use case. To request a commercial license, email licensing@theadultingvault.com with a description of the intended use, expected audience size, and format needs.

4. Bulk Print Licensing

Physical editions ordered through the bulk print program are licensed to the named recipient organization for distribution to end users. Each physical copy is licensed for personal use by the end user. The recipient organization may not scan, photocopy, duplicate, or reprint the Product without written permission. Reorders and additional copies must be licensed separately.

5. Prohibited Uses

Without a written commercial license, the Buyer may not:

  • Resell, sublicense, rent, lease, or redistribute the Product.
  • Upload the Product to public file-sharing sites, learning-management systems, or shared drives accessible by non-purchasers.
  • Include the Product in free or paid membership libraries, subscription boxes, courses, or bundles.
  • Remove, alter, or obscure copyright notices, watermarks, branding, or authorship information.
  • Use the Product to create a competing product, service, or curriculum.
  • Share login credentials, download links, or account access with others.
  • Use the Product in any way that violates applicable law or infringes third-party rights.

6. Intellectual Property

All Products are the original work of The Adulting Vault and are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property laws. Purchase of a Product does not transfer ownership of the underlying content or design. All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

7. Disclaimers

Products are provided for general educational and informational purposes only. They are not individualized legal, financial, medical, mental-health, career, or tax advice. The Adulting Vault is not liable for decisions made based on the Products. See each Product page and file for category-specific disclaimers.

8. Termination

Any license granted under these terms terminates automatically upon breach. Upon termination, the Buyer must cease all use and destroy all copies of the Product. Termination does not affect The Adulting Vault’s right to seek remedies for breach.
